The HTC Evo 4G is a 4G phone, which uses the Google operating system.  4G is a relatively new technology and not many people have come up with things to do with it yet, but as more gadgets become available, you will find that this is a phone that will not outdate very quickly. 

You may be disappointed that the HTC Evo 4G is quite a chunky phone.  Its clunky body shape has been smothered in smooth surfaces, glossy finishes and hints of color but there’s no denying that this isn’t the prettiest of phone available.  It is still very robust and because of its slightly larger size it fits more comfortably in your hand than smaller phones will. 

The HTC Evo 4G is a powerful phone, featuring a 1GHz processor and 512MB ram.  It only has 1 GB internal storage, but this is easily upgradeable with the use of the microSD card slot.  You get an 8GB card with the phone, and you will be able to fit any other card in up to a maximum of 32GB. 
The battery life on this phone is pretty good.  You can usually get a good 8 hours talk time before having to charge, and the phone will generally survive watching a HD movie before the battery runs flat.   
Speaking of which, the 4.3-inch widescreen is great for watching any movies or home videos that you may have stored on your phone.  With HD sound or a headphone input, you could enjoy your entertainment wherever you are.  

As for cameras, you have a 8mp rear camera and a 1.2 mp front camera so it will be easy for you to turn the HTC Evo 4G into a web cam for staying in touch or making video conference calls. 
If you do not mind having a chunkier phone, and you are a fan of the Google OS, then it is likely that the HTC Evo 4G will be a good choice for you.
